Hello Lovelies!
Hope the weekend was good to you as it starts to get colder here on Canada’s east side. I think I even saw a little white sprinkle of snow this morning… Not so exciting.🙈
I had the honour of being invited to a beautiful milestone birthday event at the Trump Hotel in Toronto this past weekend. It was a fancy shmancy occasion and the room was stunning and chic with black chandeliers and touches of red( which I’m not usually a huge fan of for an event theme colour, but this was so tastefully done and not over-the-top, that I have to share it with you.) Not to mention that everyone’s place setting had a L’occitane Provence gift bag with goodies in it for every guest; each one gender appropriate too! Hubby got men-friendly products and I got all these fabulous smelling lady products. Yes, they were on point with their party planning👍🏻 The Trump Hotel Toronto is beautiful and the service was exceptional. We had lunch in their America Cafe on the top floor which had a great modern ambience with floor to ceiling artwork and an entrance wall covered in black and white photos of celebrity spottings.
So for the event, instead of a black party dress, I wore a maxi skirt ensemble. I bought this skirt right before finding out I was pregnant last year and never got the chance to wear it, so I ripped off the tags and it made its debut for the party! I love evening wear separates and putting pieces together I already have for evenings out. It’s so much smarter for your wallet because you can mix n match the pieces with another look for another occasion and get so much more use out of them rather than wearing a dress only once sometimes… And I’m all about saving these days. Here’s my look and a little speak into the event from the beautiful Christmas Tree in the lobby to the black chandeliers. Hope you enjoy!
With Amore,
FM xoxo
